Privacy policy

Effective date: October 7, 2026. Last updated: October 7, 2026.

This policy explains, in plain language, what information NexRoad 24/7 Roadside Assistance (“NexRoad”, “we”) collects, why, and the choices you have. We follow the principles of Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

1. Who we are

NexRoad 24/7 Roadside Assistance, 1917 Bowler Dr, Pickering, ON L1V 3E7. For any privacy question or request, contact our privacy contact by email: nexroad24.7 [at] gmail.com.

2. What we collect and when

  • Phone calls and WhatsApp messages. When you call or message us, we receive your phone number and whatever you tell us, such as your name, vehicle, location and the help you need. WhatsApp messages are also handled by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own privacy policy.
  • The contact form. Nothing you type into the form is sent to or stored by this website. The form only prepares a message, which you then send yourself through your own email or WhatsApp app. We receive it the same way as any other email or WhatsApp message.
  • Your location. The website reads your location only when you tap “Share current location” on the contact form, and only after your browser asks you to allow it. The coordinates are added to the message you send us by WhatsApp or email. They are never sent to or stored by this website.
  • Hosting logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps standard technical logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver and protect the website.

3. Google Maps

Some pages show an embedded Google Map. When it loads, Google receives technical data such as your IP address and may set its own cookies, under Google’s privacy policy. You can block third-party cookies in your browser settings at any time.

4. Why we use your information

  • To respond to your call, message or request for a quote.
  • To provide the roadside service you ask for, including finding your vehicle.
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We only use your information for these purposes, or as you otherwise agree.

5. Cookies and local storage

This website itself sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Fonts are hosted on our own website, so no font service sees your visit. The embedded Google Map may set Google’s own cookies, as described above.

6. Sharing

We share personal information only with:

  • Service providers that help us operate: our website host, our email provider, WhatsApp and Google (when you load the map).
  • Authorities, when the law requires it.

We do not sell personal information.

7. Storage, security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we receive. We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, then delete it. Some of our service providers may process or store data outside Canada, for example in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws.

8. Your rights

  • Ask to see the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct information that is wrong.
  • Withdraw your consent, subject to legal or contractual limits.
  • Make a complaint. Please contact us first. You can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.

9. Children and marketing

This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. We follow Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL): we do not send marketing emails or text messages without your consent.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
